Rubygame in Windows

Many thanks to "sailormoontw" for emailing me compiled DLLs for rubygame-1.1.0 and the SDL_gfx library! They are available for download. The interpreted ruby portions of rubygame are also included in that package. See the included README-win32.txt for installation instructions.

Downloading Rubygame

Rubygame 1.1.0 can be downloaded as a bzip2-tarball here, as a RubyGem here, or as a Debian package here. If you try out the gem or the deb, please let me know if they work for you. (The previous version, rubygame 1.0, can be downloaded here.)

If you want to follow rubygame's development, I recommend checking out rubygame's Subversion repository, as described here. You can also download a current tarball snapshot of the repository trunk here, for anyone without Subversion.

Requirements

Rubygame currently compiles on Linux and other Unix-like systems. (Windows and MacOSX support are in the works.) It requires the following libraries to fully function:

Rubygame can be compiled without SDL_gfx, SDL_image, and/or SDL_ttf, but the associated functionality will be unavailable.
